* I couldn't quite figure out what I liked about this composition, but there's something that I enjoyed. I thought it was the shape and color of the monument, but it turned out that it was the post with a white sign on the top (against the dark clouds), and the pale cylinder object in front of the post (which is against dark background too) that attracted me.

I decided to blow up that portion and play with it a little with PhotoShop.

* It's early in the morning when Jamie just came home from work. The sky was cloudy and there wasn't enough light to illuminate the dining area behind. If there were more light to the wall behind, the portrait would have stood out more.
